You do realize they did this with the 360, too, yes?
You don't have to do anything.
I think this game will be getting more low 9s and high 8s than scores like this. I bet the average will be 88 to 90.
Any takers?
I call Kratos. He's mine, you can't have him.
You guys are arguing about a Gamebrink review?
How silly.
Funny, but only shows what the media does: spin, spin, spin.
Don't get your panties in a bunch; PC games have been doing demo recording and spectating like this way before the 360 came out, and nobody is whining about that.
"- The EE+GS embedded in the PS3 does emulation for PS1/PS2 for initial shipments PS3, so no graphics upgrade for the time being. The software emulation technology is almost complete but not ready for the launch. As soon as it is ready, the EE+GS unit will be removed."
Interesting... so I assume the emulation will come in a firmware update, and I wonder if that will disable the EE+GS.
Let the fanboy wars begin...
... again.
No, you CAN'T install Windows on the PS3. Windows is designed for the x86 platform (meaning Intel, AMD, etc.). The CELL processor is a PPC, PowerPC platform. Windows does not support PPC and never will. Linux has been adapted for both PPC and x86.
So, if you want to install an OS onto the PS3, it has to be PPC compatible. Old iterations of OS X supports PPC because all their computers were running PPC cores. However, their new computers have Intel processors (x86) and I don't know ...
1) Linux is the only OS that you will be able to install. Why? Because neither Microsoft nor Apple would update their OS to work on the PS3 platform (CELL).
2) There aren't very many viruses, trojans, or spyware written for Linux because it's not as widespread as Windows or OS X.
3) The PS3 has a custom OS, it's the XMB.
4) Few will actually use this feature and install Linux because most people who buy the PS3 just want to play games.
Wow, what a tasteless title.
Heh, three IGN review stories posted within 30 minutes of eachother.
This is EA Montreal, not Electronic Arts, Inc. Considering how Army of Two is looking his opinion might have some merit.
I'd have to agree with his points, but I still love playing Gears of War in the same way I loved playing Doom 3 when that first came out.
Sony is running the servers (for Resistance at least).

Yeah, this game is awesome, as I've been playing it non-stop, but it's not the end-all of games like you say. It offers nothing new, but it just does everything right. Kind of like God of War.
OK, back at it.
Having MGS4 and FFXIII would be a repeat of PS2's MGS2 and FFX from Fall of 2001. Good times.
I like the fire in this game. I'd give it a 6.0 just for the fire.
What? Another PS3 freezing when it's left on in an enclosed, unventilated case? These stories are getting tiresome...
... What's more relevant to the consumer is that YouTube video of the guy's PS3 not turning on and giving the double red lights.
